Math Helper
Your AI study partner for this tutorial
What is this?
The Math Helper is an AI chatbot set up for this tutorial to help you learn by thinking, not by copying answers. When you ask a question, it walks you through the problem step by step: it asks follow-up questions and gives hints until you reach the solution yourself.
You may have noticed the chat bubble in the corner of the website. That chatbot answers your questions more directly. The Math Helper below takes a different approach: it is more of a study partner, one that challenges your reasoning instead of just handing you the answer.
What can it do?
Guide your thinking
Stuck on a problem? Describe what you are working on and what you have tried. The helper will ask follow-up questions and give you hints (just enough to get you unstuck, without giving away the answer).
Generate practice tasks
Need extra exercises? Just say “practice tasks” and tell it which topic you want to work on. It will create fresh tasks in the style of this tutorial. You can request solutions afterwards.
How to get the most out of it
Describe the specific problem or concept you are stuck on, and say what you have already tried. The more context you give, the better the hints you get back. When the helper asks a question, take a moment to think before you answer; those questions are there to guide your reasoning. And do not expect ready-made solutions: the point is to understand why a solution works, not just what it is.
This is especially useful when you want to go deeper on a topic. Ask it for practice tasks on anything from the tutorial (for example, “Give me practice tasks on differentiation rules”) and work through them at your own pace. If you get stuck, the helper will nudge you through it.

Large language models are pattern-based and can confidently produce wrong calculations, so the helper’s answers may not always be correct. Please double-check anything you receive and verify it yourself. If something seems off, if you do not understand a solution, or if you have any questions, reach out to me at vlcek@beyondsimulations.com. Please include the task and your solution attempt so I can help you effectively.
